How to Remove a Hotmail Virus


The Hotmail virus, also known as Hotmail Hacker, is a malicious program designed to steal your passwords. The Hotmail virus has the ability to steal your Hotmail or MSN Messenger password. This allows a remote hacker to view your personal information, which might include online banking passwords, credit card numbers and personal messages. If your computer is infected with the Hotmail virus, you will want to remove it immediately. You can do so manually using utilities available on the Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating systems.


Instructions
  1. Press "Ctrl," "Alt" and "Delete" simultaneously and click "Start Task Manager." The Task Manager opens.
  2. Click "Show Processes From All Users."
  3. Right-click "hotmailhack.exe" (located under the "Image Name" heading) and select "End Process" from the context menu that appears.
  4. Close the Task Manager.
  5. Click "Start" and type "hotmailhack.exe" into the Search box.
  6. Right-click "hotmailhack.exe" (located in the "Results List") and select "Delete" from the context menu that appears.
  7. Restart your computer.
